SpoonDrawer’s founder, Adam Lapsevich, loves to cook. His mom started teaching him when he was about 8 years old. In her kitchen she had one drawer where all of her important utensils were kept. It was fondly known as “the spoon drawer”. After graduating from college, Adam got involved in the cruise line industry. He spent two years as an entertainer on ships and then over 15 years in sales and marketing for such lines as Cunard, Seabourn, Premier and Carnival. He worked with travel agents all over the country. Fast forward to 2005…… He loved the industry and his clients but was getting a little tired of being on the road all the time. He loved his agents though and noticed one thing they all had in common – they needed help with their agency websites. He created websites for fun but decided it was time to see if he could make a business out of it. He wanted to focus on travel websites and offer his clients a variety of creative marketing services, but the only thing was, he need a “creative name”.
